The consecrated Host, the Blessed Sacrament in which Christ is present in a unique way, whole and entire, God and man, substantially and permanently. The love of Jesus, truly present and exposed as a Host in the monstrance for all to see and acknowledge as the true centre, not only of the sacred liturgy, but of the whole Christian life. In His Eucharistic presence He remains mysteriously in our midst as the one who loved us and gave Himself up for us, and He remains under signs that express and communicate this love:

“Jesus awaits us in this sacrament of love. Let us not refuse the time to go to meet Him in adoration, in contemplation full of faith, and open to making amends for the serious offenses and crimes of the world. Let our adoration never cease” (Catechism Catholic Church; 1380).

In order to ensure we have a constant vigil of prayer before the Lord, in the Blessed Sacrament, while the chapel is open, we must make sure that each hour has someone present. Ideally, it would be wonderful to have 2 people present, at all times. Therefore, it is necessary for each person involved to commit him/herself to a specific hour/hours and day/days, each week (for example – every Wednesday from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m.).

Is Jesus important enough to you to reserve one specific hour each week to be with Him? Of course, you are always welcome to drop by the chapel, any time, for a visit. However, if you are willing to choose a specific hour, you will be making a loving commitment to Jesus. Remember: No time spent with the Lord is ever wasted!

Please try to find a replacement if you are not able to be there for your hour or change with someone else. Ideally, if 2 people are there, you can just let your partner know the week before so that if there is an emergency and they are not able to be there, they can find a replacement. In an emergency, please contact the Co-Ordinator – Sandra Nakluski, 226-789-1259.

It is proper etiquette to genuflect on both knees when entering and leaving the adoration chapel, but if you find this physically difficult, Jesus understands. How you spend the time is up to you: you may use the books in the chapel (which are not to be taken out) or bring your own religious books. You may read the bible, pray the rosary, or just talk to God in the quiet of your soul. You may kneel, or just sit, relax and enjoy the peace of Jesus watching over you as you think of Him. Your prayers are joined to those of the other adorers in this chapel and in other adoration chapels throughout the world. They include your intentions and you include theirs in your prayer. There is a petition box in front of the altar in which you can place your written intentions. Just think, if we were all to pray for world peace, what a powerful prayer that would be! May God bless you!

My Lord Jesus Christ, I adore You in all the tabernacles of the world. I offer You my life in reparation for the sins against the Blessed Sacrament, the unworthy communions, disrespect, lack of reverence in Your churches, and countless other sins against Your Most Holy Body and Blood. Please, my Lord, increase my faith in Your Eucharistic presence so that my devotion may be fanned into a flame of love of You and that I may go into the world to proclaim Your kingdom. I ask this of Your mercy in Your Holy Name. Amen.

  1.  He is really there!
  2. Day and night Jesus dwells in the Blessed Sacrament because of His infinite love for you!
  3. The specific way that Jesus asks you to love Him in return is to spend one quiet hour with Him in the Blessed Sacrament.
  4. When you look upon the Sacred Host, you look upon Jesus, the Son of God.
  5.  Each moment that you spend in His Eucharistic Presence will increase His Divine Life within you…
  6.  Each hour you spend with Jesus will deepen His Divine Peace in your heart.
  7.  Jesus will give you all the graces you need to be happy!
  8. Jesus is infinitely deserving of our unceasing thanksgiving and adoration for all He has done for our salvation.
  9. For peace in our country!
  10. Each hour you spend with Jesus on earth will leave your soul everlastingly more beautiful and glorious in heaven!
  11.  Jesus will bless you, your family, and the whole world for this hour of faith you spend with Him in the Blessed Sacrament.
  12. Each moment you spend with Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament brings joy, pleasure, and delight to His Sacred Heart!

It is an honour and a privilege for us to spend time with Jesus, in the Most Blessed Sacrament and therefore we ask that you prayerfully consider whether you are able to make a commitment to Adoration of the Most Blessed Sacrament, by signing up for an hour per week (or more, if you wish). Jesus is waiting for you!
